Hot Shot Style Regulator/Rectifier are constructed with even higher capacity components. Utilizing higher gauge wires, these units are able to handle higher voltage fluctuations without burning out. Large radiator fins increase surface area to dissipate more heat.

Rick's part #10-207 utilizes Mosfet technology which makes it a cooler running rectifier regulator than the OE design.
