Renthal Twinring Rear Sprocket

Renthal's combination of a high strength base material and exceptionally hardwearing surface result in significantly increased chainwheel life over other brands. Grooved chain-wheels have cut outs at the bottom of the tooth to allow the escape of mud that would otherwise be trapped between the chain-wheel and the chain. Allowing the easy escape of the mud prevents tension being placed on the chain and the resulting accelerated wear. The inner ring of the unique Renthal Twinring is engineer from Ultralight 7075-T6 Aluminum, which keeps the weight of the sprocket to a minimum. The Outer ring is electro-less nickel coated steel for ultimate durability and is designed with the minimum amount of material to keep weight down. To combine these 2 rings, the outer ring is expanded at 200°C and then fitted to the inner, creating a permanent bond for the life of the sprocket. These rings will outlast a standard all aluminum sprocket by 3 times, yet is much lighter than an all steel rear sprocket
